Our founder, Rita, began wearing acrylic nails in 1982 and wore them consistently for six years. Over time, she found that her natural nails were damaged and had seriously deteriorated. In desperation, she sought professional help but discovered that the nail care industry only offered cover-ups and not a maintenance cure. Manicures were simply viewed as a pamper session, or worse, used to hide underlying nail problems that needed to be treated.

She began researching the anatomy of the nail and the healthiest way to address nail care problems. What she discovered was that many products promised stronger, healthier nails but none of them delivered significant results. Ultimately, she learned that a balanced diet and proper skin conditioning are the true keys to healthy hands and nails. She learned to bridge the gap between health and beauty and created ATiR’s 4 Part Program.
